Kim Delaney was an American actor from the United States. She is most famous because of her part as detective Diane Russell, in the ABC show NYPD Blue. For this she was awarded the Emmy Award. She is best known for her performance on All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was the only daughter of an United Auto Workers executive and his wife who was a household worker. She grew up in a home that included four brothers. Although she was a child with a aspiration to become a journalist, it wasn't until her high school years that she began modeling. Following her move from New York City and gaining experiences as a commercial model at New York did she achieve an aspiring career as court reporters. She starred in 1981 as an innocent teen in All My Children. Delaney an actress in her early years in the 80s, has been featured in numerous TV shows as well as dramas. Her personal life unlike her professional life hasn't been successful and happy. The talented actress has had to deal with addiction issues in the past and had two failed marriages. She lost custody of her son in 2005.
